We were one of the first accountancy firms in Leicestershire to be licensed to carry out probate work, following a major change in the law. Prior to this change only solicitors and banks were able to carry out this work.

Recent Changes
All good news for a change, the governments proposal for probate fees to be charged on a sliding scale instead of a fixed fee have been dropped, thus removing the proposed massive hike in probate costs.
It will also no longer be necessary to swear an oath to obtain probate, this can now be covered on the completion of the form PA1P.
